Itinerary

Day 1 – Waterfall Adventure

  • 06:30 AM: Depart from Dambulla, Sigiriya, or Habarana in a luxury air-conditioned vehicle.
  • 09:30 AM: Arrival at Huluganga, with a nature guide and first aid officer coordinating the day’s activities.
  • 10:00 AM: Visit Huluganga Falls.
  • 11:40 AM: Jeep ride to Alakolla Estate for a 1km walk along the longest straight tea walk in South Asia.
  • 12:20 PM: Continue with a 1km walk to Thaliyawatunuella Falls.
  • 01:30 PM: Enjoy a refreshing nature pool bath near the waterfall.
  • 02:30 PM: Walk back 1km to the vehicle, followed by a 3km drive back to Huluganga village.
  • 03:30 PM: Lunch at Huluganga Town.
  • 04:30 PM: Jeep ride 8km to the Knuckles Water Factory at Gomare, stopping by Jodu Ella.
  • 05:00 PM: Begin a 3km trek to Knuckles Base Camp.
  • 07:00 PM: Reach Knuckles Base Camp, enjoy dinner and a bonfire.

Day 2 – Trek to Meemure via Knuckles

  • 06:00 AM: Morning tea and breakfast. Briefing for the day ahead.
  • 07:30 AM: Begin a 5km trek to the 3rd Peak of Knuckles, reaching 1850m above sea level.
  • 11:00 AM: Hike 6km down Dawn Hill to the other side of the mountain.
  • 01:00 PM: Reach Knuckles Cave for lunch at 1500m above sea level.
  • 02:00 PM: Off-trail 5km descent to the Meemure Camp Site.
  • 03:00 PM: Enjoy 7 waterfall adventure activities.
  • 05:30 PM: Evening tea.
  • 07:00 PM: Savor a BBQ dinner by the bonfire (weather permitting).
  • Overnight at Meemure Base Camp.

Day 3 – Meemure Village & Departure

  • 07:00 AM: Morning tea and breakfast. Briefing for the final day.
  • 08:30 AM: Enjoy a 7 Waterfall Adventure or trek 3.5km to Meemure Ancient Village, known for its remote location in the Knuckles Mountain Range.
  • 12:00 PM: Village lunch.
