Itinerary

Day 1: Waterfall Exploration & Scenic Trekking

  • 06:30 am: Depart from Nuwara Eliya by air-conditioned luxury vehicle.
  • 09:30 am: Meet your nature guide and first aid officer for the day’s adventure.
  • 10:00 am: Arrive at Huluganga, a charming town.
  • 11:20 am: Explore the picturesque Huluganga Falls.
  • 11:40 am: Enjoy a 2km jeep ride to Alakolla Estate and walk 1km through the longest straight tea walk in South Asia.
  • 12:20 pm: Continue the journey with a 1km walk to Thaliyawatunuella and visit the stunning upper falls.
  • 01:30 pm: Refresh with a nature pool bath near the waterfall.
  • 02:30 pm: Return 1km to the vehicle and drive 3km back to Huluganga Village.
  • 03:30 pm: Relish a delightful lunch at Huluganga Town.
  • 04:30 pm: Jeep drive 8km to the Knuckles Water Factory at Gomare, with a visit to Jodu Ella waterfall on the way.
  • 05:00 pm: Begin a 3km walk to the Knuckles Base Camp.
  • 07:00 pm: Arrive at the base camp for a delicious dinner and bonfire.

Day 2: Knuckles Peaks & Meemure Trek

  • 06:00 am: Enjoy morning tea and breakfast, followed by a briefing for the day’s adventure.
  • 07:30 am: Start the 5km trek to the 3rd peak of Knuckles (1850m) to explore its stunning vistas.
  • 11:00 am: Trek 6km down to the other side of the mountain.
  • 12:00 pm: Reach Knuckles Cave for a scenic lunch at 1500m.
  • 02:00 pm: Continue the 5km off-trail journey to Meemure Base Camp.
  • 03:00 pm: Enjoy thrilling 7 waterfall adventure activities in the surrounding area.
  • 05:30 pm: Relax with evening tea.
  • 07:00 pm: Savor a BBQ dinner with a bonfire (weather permitting).
  • Overnight stay at Meemure Base Camp.

Day 3: Meemure Village & Waterfall Adventures

  • 07:00 am: Morning tea, breakfast, and briefing for the final day.
  • 08:30 am: Choose between the 7 Waterfall Adventure or continue trekking to Meemure Ancient Village (3.5 km river base expedition). Meemure is one of the most remote villages in Sri Lanka, accessible by a 14km trek from Loolwatte.
  • 12:00 pm: Enjoy a traditional village lunch in Meemure.
  • 01:00 pm: Depart for the next destination or proceed back to Nuwara Eliya or Kandy.
